Get Revved Up For the Ultimate Ford vs Chevy Challenge

By: Joseph Foster

After the Ford Model T came along, who would dare challenge the car that put America on wheels?  Having been fired from General Motors, a business genius named William Durant was up for the challenge, and so it all began.

After producing, a low-priced and immediately popular automobile named after Louis Chevrolet, Mr. Durant was able to purchase enough stock in his former employer, General Motors, which allowed him to return and eventually take over management. This was when the famous Ford vs Chevy rivalry began in 1917, and from then on it was “Game On”.

Throughout the 1920s, Ford remained on top, but in 1927, Ford shut down production to tool up the New Model A, and for the first time, Chevrolet finally outsold Ford the very next year. But holding the top spot didn’t last for long once Ford released the Model A. While Ford was celebrating its victory, Chevrolet was working to produce its famous 6-cylinder OHV engine, and once it hit the market, Chevrolet proudly outdid the Model A and made claim to “More Car For the Same Money”.

So it is, the saga continues, and thankfully, the rivalry has produced some great cars. Whether you’re a Ford fan or a Chevy fan, let’s look at some interesting facts and see how well you do in a Ford vs Chevy trivia quiz.
